While I'm in Stoke for a while I thought I'd go and photograph the old bus station before it is torn down. I'm normally a big fan of modernist architecture but this is one of the very worst examples I know of, I'm not sure if this is down to the design or its upkeep, perhaps a bit of both. Its extremely disjointed and looks like it was built in multiple stages, though I do not think this is the case.
This is one example of 20th century modernism that I wont be sad to see the back of, this does pose the question though, will its replacement be any better? New Design
